Evening with Ceres 2022 Program Book

Welcome Letter Dear Friends,

Thank you for joining us for Evening with Ceres. Whether you’ve been with us for years or are new to Ceres, we are so glad you are here. As an annual gathering, Evening with Ceres has always been a chance for our community to come together in celebration of our common mission to build a better world. We are particularly thrilled to be back in person for the first time in three years and in our home- town of Boston for the first time in five! The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library could not be a more fitting venue for this reunion. The world JFK faced had many parallels to our world today – perhaps most importantly that courageous leadership is at the forefront of protecting people and the planet, now and for generations to come. In JFK’s words, “It’s time for a new generation of leadership, to cope with new problems and new opportunities. For there is a new world to be won.” Tonight, we honor leaders and visionaries, applaud ambitious climate action, and raise our sights to a bold new future. I hope you enjoy our unique keynote conversation, the Bavaria Award presentation, and the opportunity to mix and mingle with sustainability advocates. On behalf of all of us at Ceres, I want to extend a special thank you to our generous host committee, sponsors, and supporters who help make this evening and our work possible. I hope many more of you will make a gift tonight to support our vital work.

It is a pleasure to raise a toast in celebration with you. May we part inspired, engaged, and fortified for the important work together ahead. Cheers, Susan Sayers Chief Development Officer
