Our Impact
Ceres has helped pass 23 clean energy, energy efficiency & transportation policies in 17 states across the nation. The Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets has engaged with 90 federal agencies to identify and manage climate risk as a systemic financial risk. So far, these agencies have taken 230 actions. Ceres AgWater Challenge has secured commitments from 11 major food and ag companies to protect freshwater in their supply chains. These commitments will help protect 1.2 million acres of farmland over the next decade. This year, Climate Action 100+ grew to 716 investor signatories with a cumulative $104 trillion AUM.
The 2022 proxy season finished with a record-breaking 110 climate-related commitments resulting from 236 climate-related resolutions filed at North American companies, tracked by Ceres. Ceres has brought more than 330 investors and companies to Washington, DC to meet with lawmakers from both sides of the aisle to advocate for national climate policy through our annual Lawmaker Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD). Among Ceres Company Network members, 59% set reduction targets for their impacts on water and natural resources and 80% implemented human rights policies for their workforce in FY21.
